We are seeking dedicated stage performers for the stage adaptation of AGAIN: A Memoir of Falling, Fighting, Healing & Becoming, to be performed live at the AGAIN Summit & Book Launch. This adaptation (Episode 12: The Beginning of Seeing) is a powerful, unflinching portrayal of domestic violence and survival, which follows Joy, a young wife whose marriage quietly unravels under pressure, control and silence, moving from celebration, to crisis, to a single defining act of leaving.
This production is staged by STRONG WOMEN NETWORK as part of our advocacy for survivors of domestic and emotional abuse. It is a rare platform for volunteer performers to be seen by policy & decision-makers, and creatives, from government agencies, to policymakers, civil society organisations, media, faith leaders, advocates, and survivors.
This production depicts domestic violence, including physical assault and emotional abuse. We take this responsibility seriously. Every cast member will be fully briefed on the content before accepting a role. All physical scenes are professionally choreographed. A safeguarding protocol is in place for the summit.
We are looking for actors who understand that this story belongs to a real person who lived it and who will carry it with the dignity it deserves.
We are looking for actors who can bring depth, restraint, and truth to roles that deal with trauma, abuse, and survival.
This is volunteer production as there is no monetary payment. Here is what you gain instead:
